Not to mention that fact that two plastic skylines that welcome the evening sun. Needless to say it gets HOT.I got lucky and found one at Big Lots for $175. Yes its reconditioned, the only thing missing were two wheels front and back on the same side. Cosmetics aside this thing is awesome. I was told to let it "rest" for 24 hours if the item had been tilt which it had been sitting on the shelves. I brought it home let it stand for about an hour or so and turned it on low.( I couldn't wait any longer plus it was EXTRA humid that night) Unbelievable the air was ICE cold, and the room which stays around 80 degrees or warmer suddenly dropped two degrees in a matter of 15 minutes. There were no instructions or warranty cards. The grill pieces were broken and worse yet, it did not cool since the room air outlet and the exhaust outlet were the same temp after 15 minutes. It appears that the refigerant had leaked out as the box and unit was covered in an oily residue. I am not sure that it is wise buying these units from Amazon and shipping by Fed ex over long distances. |
